ngurrak-al marram-u / body of the mountain
Exhibition 24 May - 13 July
Burrinja Gallery, Upwey, Victoria
ngurrak-al marram-u / body of the mountain is an exhibition outcome from a mobile artist residency ‘On Country/In Residence’ that occurred along the trails of ngurrak barring (mountain path in Woi Wurrung, also known as Ridgewalk). Walking together across Corhanwarrabul (Dandenong Ranges), a group of artists shared place-responsive practices and considered what it means to 'listen to Country' through their diverse perspectives.
Featuring artists: Aarti Jadu, Rebecca Murray, Mandy Nicholson, Jill Orr, Gulsen Ozer, Laki Sideris, Gretal Taylor and Tammy Wong Hulbert
Co-curated by: Gretel Taylor, Gulsen Ozer and Mandy Nicholson
